I think this might be a long entry. (:
Grandfather has never liked the idea of me having a boyfriend; as how the stereotypes will always think: Working, immature love, entertainment and leisure will screw your time and focus to success in your education. And that was the sort of lecture or "advice" I've been receiving lately from him when he and grandma stayed over these past few days. Nevertheless; I always take pride in what he says for I know he means well, and he has high hopes on his eldest grandchild. And so I thought my boyfriend, although he isn't like what my grandfather thinks; will never receive the stamp of approval from beloved grandfather. But today changed it all. :D
Today started out with me accompanying him to his ex-colleague's wedding. (where I must say, the food was scrumptious and finger-licking good to the last bite) We then went to Northpoint to Timezone (I lost to him when we played air-hockey.bugger. and oh yes, all while i was parading around in pink baju kurung and heels) with Latep to kill time. Come 3+, the boy and I made our way to the Airport to send my beloved grandparents off to Indonesia, where they will be meeting their wretched ungrateful son and his good-for-nothing-money-grabbing wife, and also to visit my lovely cousins. (i won't elaborate much on the wretched part, for if I do i won't end.)
It was at the airport when he was kinda worried about bumping into my grandfather again after I told him about the nasihat I received from Grandpa. So there we were at the departure hall, my aunt, uncle, grandparents, my family and him. Sitting on the row of chairs that were faced back-to back.Grandpa and the rest on one row, boyfriend on the other so that they won't see face-to-face (because he's so afraid). Grandpa was busy taking photos on his useless handphone (treating it like a 5mp camera) and suddenly he called me to sit beside fattah. (the row he was sitting on didn' have anyone else. he told my sister to go to my dad; making it seem as though he wanted to give us a round of advice) Even my parents were like "aiyoh elyn..." and I could tell by looking at the poor boyfriend; he wanted to pee in his pants right there and then. Haha!
Skali... jeng jeng jeng! Datuk wanted to take a photo of us! Hoho. He took several photos to keep as memories and said nothing negative to Fattah like at all. Aww.
Dearest boyfriend has officially received the stamp of approval! =D
Hooray! I'm so elated! It's an achievement. And I feel good knowing that my darling grandparents have officially acknowledged him and actually like him.
After bidding farewell to the grandparents, the family + boyfriend headed off to Ikea (where he turned to Ikea-man mode and became our mini-guide) and then to Courts, before having late dinne at Simpang. =D
All whilst my feet screamed in silent agony in my heels and me swishing around in pink baju kurung while the rest were dressed casually. People must think Fattah was my parents' son, and me a matchmade girl from Kelantan on a Singapore tour. Hoho.<br>
And might I add, I sounded like such a brat yesterday. Eww. Haha.
On a lighter note, Firah dear, happy 17th birthday!
Have fun in Thailand ya? *hugs*
